New CCTV for Musselburgh

NEW CCTV cameras and lighting are to be installed at the Brunton Hall in a bid to deter antisocial behaviour among youths beside the venue.

The area around the Musselburgh theatre has been a gathering point for youths involved with under-age drinking and other disorder in recent months.

Now East Lothian Council has put forward plans to replace the existing security camera at the rear of the hall in Ladywell Way with a combined CCTV/lighting column at the car park entrance.

The application will be considered by the council.
