“The very first MoFest Quiz takes place on Friday, November 27, and we have teamed up with Burnside Brewery to host the Rhythm and Brews Beer Fest on March 3,4 and 5, 2016 at Montrose Town Hall which promises to be a fabulous event for beer lovers.”

The initial breweries to be signed up are: 6 Degrees North Brewery, Laurencekirk ; Burnside Brewery, Laurencekirk; Cromarty Brewing, Davidston, Rosshire; Deeside Brewery, Banchory; Eden Mill Distilling & Brewing, St Andrews; Loch Ness Brewing, Drumnadrochit and Windswept Brewing, Lossiemouth.

With over 30 different beers already confirmed, Rhythm and Brews is likely to be the largest beer festival in Angus in 2016.

The initial supporting breweries produce beers and ales to suit every taste including the following beers styles:Traditional Scottish Export & 80/- Ales, classic pale ales, Traditional IPA’s, craft lagers, classic Belgian style beers, Bavarian and Belgian wheat beers, American style pale ales and IPA’s, rich tasty Scottish stouts and Belgian fruit beers.

Although the beers are very international in their styles, they are all brewed in Scotland by Scottish Craft Breweries with the exception of the Belgian fruit beers.

In addition to the fantastic range of local beers from north east Scotland, there will be a range of great craft ciders available on draught throughout the festival.

A range of speciality craft gins will be served from a dedicated artisan Scottish Gin bar which will include gins from Eden Mill and local distillery Arbikie and a Prosecco bar is planned for those who like some sparkle in their lives.

Beer Fest tickets will be split over four sessions, with tickets from either MoFest HQ or Burnside Brewery.
