New Bass Rock boat trips for photographers

NEW boat trips to Bass Rock – which boasts one of the largest gannet colonies in the world – have been launched for photographers.

Snappers can book tours to the rocky island in the Firth of Forth for early morning and early evening to capture the birds in the best possible light.

The Scottish Seabird Centre and Seafari Adventures, which will run the trips in rigid inflatable boats, believe there is a high demand for boat trips specifically for photographers.

Colin Aston, managing director of Seafari Adventures, said: “These new Golden Hour trips are the perfect platform for keen photographers to get that extra time at the Bass Rock to capture iconic images. The early morning and early evening departures result in stunning light conditions and our expert guides help pinpoint the best locations.

“We have trialled a few of these trips and they have been incredibly popular.”
