New bar opens in Stockbridge

The Raeburn in Stockbridge will hold its opening party this evening from 5pm.

The Dean Street bar, which was previously called the Raconteur, had been closed for several months until new owners came in.

Its unofficial opening last month was delayed after the premises was flooded when an upstairs neighbour accidentally left a tap running.

Bar manager Norval Barclay said: “We have had the doors open for a few weeks, but this is our official  unveiling.

“It’s not just for people in Stockbridge – absolutely everyone is  welcome to pop down.”
