Musselburgh Racecourse to hold New Year's day athletics event

A DAY of racing and athletics is to be held at Musselburgh Racecourse on New Year's Day.

The day's entertainment features the traditional New Year Sprint, the annual competitive athletics event.

And there will also be a full race card, with the racecourse opening at 10.45am and the first race starting at 12.20pm.

Entry to the event will cost 20 for adults, or free for under 16s.
