Museum is dusting off lost chapter

A collection of fossils, which rewrite a key chapter in the history of evolution, go on display at the National Museum of Scotland today.

Evolution’s Missing Chapter will be on display until the end of April in the Museum Grand Gallery.

Ahead of the public opening, Dr Andy Ross was taking a closer look at Ribbo, the fossil of an amphibian so named because of the well-preserved ribs.

The fossils come from a find in the Scottish Borders.
