Murder victim Vicky's father 'critical' after heart attack

Michael Hamilton, 59, is said to have been taken to Stirling Royal Infirmary after collapsing on Tuesday, it was reported today.

His wife Christine was keeping a vigil at his bedside as hospital staff confirmed his condition was "critical".

Friends said Mr Hamilton's health had deteriorated after serial killer Peter Tobin launched an appeal against his 30-year minimum term for the 1991 murder of Vicky, 15.

A friend said: "Michael's been under a lot of strain recently and it looks like his heart has given out."
