Murder charge over killing of man, 25

A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of a young father in the street.

Thomas McGinley is alleged to have assaulted and murdered Darren Gavan, 25, on 23 May at Tormusk Street, Castlemilk, Glasgow. McGinley, 27, also of Castlemilk, made no plea or declaration when he appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday.
