Murder accused in court for first time

A WOMAN accused of murdering an eastern European man whose body was found at a farm appeared in a public court for the first time yesterday.

Eliska Novotna is alleged to have stabbed 39-year-old Arunas Ramanauskas to death in the Scottish Borders on 7 or 8 October last year.

Novotna denies the charges. No trial date was fixed.
