Mum in epilepsy deaths campaign

A GRIEVING mother from West Lothian is campaigning to raise awareness of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP).

Chris Jeans from Mid Calder, who is now a volunteer ambassador for the charity Epilepsy Bereaved, is campaigning to try to ensure others with epilepsy know about the possibility of sudden unexpected death.

She lost her 38-year-old son, Stephen McClelland, to SUDEP in 2010, having not previously been aware that epilepsy can cause death.
