MSP's plea to bridge divide

SECTARIANISM can be prevented by integrating pupils from faith and non-denominational schools at playtimes, according to a Lothians MSP.

Ian McKee expressed his views during First Minister's Questions.

He said: "It's absurd that schools sharing the same campus need to have separate dining rooms, playgrounds, libraries and staff rooms.

"We need to get pupils of all faiths and none interacting through joint activities."
