MSP to tackle youth jobs

ALMOND Valley MSP Angela Constance has been handed the newly-created job of Minister for Youth Employment.

She announced she would host a special session of the National Economic Forum next month to bring together leaders from business, local authorities, the third and public sectors in the interests of young people.

Ms Constance, previously Minister for Children and Young People, said: “The Scottish Government has developed a range of good initiatives to guarantee a training or learning place for all 16 to 19-year-olds, but more needs to be done.”
