MSP hails city cancer centre

A NEW support centre for cancer patients and their families has been welcomed by an MSP.

Gordon MacDonald, who represents Edinburgh Pentlands, officially opened the Westerhaven Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre at 1 Hailesland Road.

Mr MacDonald said: “Over 20 years ago, my father was diagnosed with lung cancer. A centre like Westerhaven would have been a godsend for us.”

The service is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
