The Lothian MSP recently met with Donald Laird, of Bonaly-Fairfield Farm Dairy, to hear first-hand the issues the sector is facing.
She said: “It’s encouraging to see the planned cuts shelved but I’m afraid these ruthless retail giants will continue to flog staple items such as milk for pennies to lure customers in. While I welcome the efforts being made by the Scottish Government, they need to face some home truths about their love of supermarkets.”
