MSP calls for fast rail link

TRANSPORT Minister Keith Brown has called for a "single Scottish voice" to press the case for high-speed rail coming north of the Border.

Speaking ahead of a conference on high-speed rail at the City Chambers, Mr Brown outlined proposals for a "pan-Scottish partnership" to scope route alignments and potential rail termini in Scotland.

He said: "The case for a high-speed rail network all the way to Scotland is compelling, robust and clear."
