MP in call for tariffs action

EDINBURGH North and Leith MP Mark Lazarowicz has called for action to tackle energy tariffs, claiming that current Government policy is in chaos.

In a Westminster debate, he pressed Energy Secretary Ed Davey to clarify Government policy on energy tariffs following David Cameron’s surprise announcment during Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday that legislation would be implemented compelling firms to offer customers the lowest available tariff.

Mr Lazarowicz is calling for government action to help households faced with heavy increases in their fuel bills this winter.
