MP in Africa action plea

A LOCAL MP has called for urgent action to be taken to address the food crisis in Africa.

Livingston MP Graeme Morrice joined Shadow International Development Secretary Ivan Lewis to call for an urgent international strategy to address the crisis.

“With aid agencies, the World Food Programme and the UN all now warning of a potentially devastating situation, the international community should be coming together to coordinate their responses and prioritise measures which will help to prevent this,” Mr Morrice said.
