Mountain gorilla population boost

The number of endangered mountain gorillas in national parks straddling the borders of Rwanda, Uganda and Congo has risen by 26 per cent in the past seven years, a new census shows.

Scientists found the population had increased to 480 this year from 380 in 2003 when the last census was conducted.
