Motorists 'useful' in police murder hunt

DETECTIVES investigating the violent murder of a Malaysian man said an operation where motorists were questioned had been "very useful".

Chee Gang Goh, known as Issac, was found lying in a close in Port Dundas, Glasgow, on Monday last week. The death of the 28-year-old in Craighall Road is being treated as murder following a post-mortem examination.

More than 100 motorists and pedestrians were questioned by officers in the area on Sunday night.

Detective Chief Inspector David Gailey said: "I am encouraged by the response from members of the public. Everyone who was stopped and interviewed answered questions which enabled officers to complete a questionnaire. I fully appreciate their co-operation.

"We are sifting through the information gained to see if there is that vital piece that may move this investigation forward."
