Motorist cut free from car
A MOTORIST has been taken to hospital with suspected spinal injuries following a crash in Lanark Road yesterday that caused traffic problems in parts of the city.
Fire crews had to cut free the 32-year-old from his vehicle before he was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
It is understood the crash occurred when a car shunted the rear of another vehicle at around 3.40pm outside the Pentland Land Rover garage.
Firefighters from Sighthill had to use hydraulic cutting gear to free the trapped casualty.
