Motorist cut free from car

A DRIVER has been treated in hospital after crashing his car in East Lothian.

Paramedics and firefighters rushed to the scene of the incident between Port Seton and Longniddry following an emergency call shortly after 6pm yesterday.

Firefighters said the driver – an 18-year-old male – was trapped in the vehicle when they arrived and was released using hydraulic cutting gear.

They added that the driver was attended to by paramedics and taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for further treatment.
