Motorcyclist dies in collision with 4x4

A MOTORCYCLIST was killed in a collision with a Land Rover, police said yesterday.

The 41-year-old man died at the scene on the A886 near Colintraive after the crash on Friday afternoon.

The accident happened shortly before 5:30pm. Emergency services attended, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Land Rover was uninjured.

Sergeant David Ferguson of Strathclyde police said the force was appealing for witnesses to the crash.

Meanwhile, Tayside Police are investigating after a crash on the A92 Montrose to Arbroath road at about 4pm on Friday. A foreign registered Opel Vectra overturned after knocking down a telegraph pole. The five occupants walked free from the wreckage.
