Mother faces US vice girl ring charges

A MOTHER-OF-FOUR originally from the Lothians has been charged with running a major prostitution ring in the United States.

Anna Gristina is accused of providing underage girls and high-class prostitutes for a range of rich clients in New York over 15 years, it was reported today.

She was arrested after a five-year investigation and it is alleged she ran the businesses from a Manhattan flat she borrowed from a lawyer friend.

Neighbours in the suburb of Monroe described her as a typical “soccer mom” and expressed shock at the allegations.

The 44-year-old was reportedly raised in Kirkliston and now has US citizenship. She is described as “Anna Scotland” in the circles she is said to operate in.

She denied promoting prostitution but was denied bail at Manhattan Supreme Court. Outside court, husband Kelvin Gorr said he was “heartbroken”.
