Morrison hosts Burns fundraiser for children's charity

COMEDIAN and Evening News columnist Susan Morrison will be MC at this year's Burns Reloaded charity event.

The annual fundraiser for Children 1st will be held at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on 23 January.

The programme will include the traditional Selkirk Grace and Address to the Haggis, but organisers say it will be far from a traditional Burns Supper.

Highland band and Celtic Radio music award winners Clann An Drumma will take to the stage and there will also be dancing with the accompaniment of Robbie Shepherd's Nightmare Ceilidh Band.

The night begins at 7pm with a drinks reception, followed by a three-course meal and entertainment. There will also be the opportunity to take part in a prize draw.

Tickets, which cost 40, are limited, and can be bought individually or for tables of ten people and, due to popular demand, a non-refundable deposit will be required.

Funds raised will go to help the work of Children 1st in promoting children's rights, and protecting youngsters from harm and abuse.
