More time for holistic centre

Edinburgh’s oldest holistic therapy centre has been given extra time to thrash out a rescue plan for the cash-strapped facility.

Last month the Evening News revealed that classes at the Salisbury Centre – founded in 1973 – would be suspended in July after it emerged its finances were unsustainable.

Plans to save the centre originally had to be submitted by yesterday but at a meeting on Sunday trustees agreed to extend the deadline.
