Missing prisoner is arrested in Glasgow

An ABSCONDED prisoner, believed to have fled to England, has been arrested in Glasgow.

Tayside Police yesterday confirmed that Daniel Somers, 49, had been caught by officers. He had been missing after failing to return to Castle Huntley prison, near Dundee, on 7 March, after being given home leave to Glasgow.

During the police hunt for Somers, police reported there had been “possible sightings” of Somers in Lancashire and Leicestershire
