Missing man may have fallen in canal

A MISSING businessman may have fallen into an icy canal on his way to work, it was feared yesterday.

Andrew Ainsworth, 56, left his home at 8 am on Tuesday to walk to work, but he never arrived.

The chemical engineer is managing director of Falkirk-based company Siboro, which makes specialised lubricants and industrial additives.

The businessman often walked to work from his home in the Brightons area of Falkirk along the towpath of the Union Canal, which is icebound.
