Missing man gets in touch after appeal

A MAN who disappeared for two weeks after leaving his home to go to work has been traced safe and well.

Ralph Nugent, from Millfield in Haddington, contacted police in the early hours of yesterday morning, after an appeal was made for him to get in touch.

The 58-year-old was last seen at his East Lothian home on June 15.

Mr Nugent was believed to have left for his work in the Hillington area of Glasgow the following morning in his Nissan Almera. He failed to get in touch with family, sparking concerns over his welfare.

Mr Nugent contacted police on Saturday, after hearing that information was being sought as to his disappearance, but did not disclose his whereabouts.
