Misery as UK planes remain on the ground
Edinburgh Airport was deserted with all flights grounded until 7pm, as the giant cloud of volcanic ash over Britain continued to cause disruption.
Many holidaymakers trying to return home following the Easter break have been stranded.

Hide AdThe air traffic control company NATS today warned that the situation was showing no signs of improvement, and ash from the Icelandic volcano meant restrictions would remain in place.
An Edinburgh Airport spokesman advised all passengers to check with their airlines before travelling. He said: "It's been very quiet here last night and this morning. Most people are aware of the situation."
Although a limited number of flights were running between Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland, none are arriving at Edinburgh.
