Minister's concern over benefit reforms

A SENIOR churchman has written to every Scottish MP voicing concerns about welfare and benefit reforms.

The Rev Ian Galloway, convener of the Church of Scotland's church and society council, said: "A mark of any society is how it cares for the vulnerable.

"Any proposals for welfare reform which place barriers upon the ability of families to survive with dignity when they are in a vulnerable position undermine us as a society."
