Mini-Beck to hit the stage

The eccentric American singer and his band, who are due to appear at Meadowbank Stadium on the same bill as Radiohead, will be joined on stage by puppets of themselves, which will recreate all the full-size band's moves.

The pint-sized mini-Beck, which is said to be painstakingly accurate right down to the star's shaggy blonde hair and fedora, will be seen lip-synching and playing air guitar alongside the singer.

Meadowbank is also due to host gigs later this week by Muse and Snow Patrol, as part of T on the Fringe.
