A million sign up to use city firm's Twibbon

A GLOBALLY popular local business that runs on social networking sites is celebrating after one million fans signed up to their product through Twitter and Facebook.

Storm Ideas, which created the popular Twibbon, a device that allows users to add a logo such as a favourite football team or charitable cause to their twitter account, now has one million people using the service.

So far more than 30,000 logos are available through Stockbridge-based business Storm Ideas.

Over 90,000 people wore pink breast cancer Twibbons on their avatars during Breast Cancer Awareness and currently more than 24,000 are showing their support for Haiti.
