Mendes takes questions at cinema event

OSCAR-WINNING British director Sam Mendes is to take part in a question and answer session with an audience in Edinburgh next week.

Mendes, the husband of Titanic star Kate Winslet, will join the audience at the Cameo cinema live via satellite following a preview of his new comedy Away we Go.

The film was given its UK premier at this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival, with the director walking the red carpet and saying he was delighted to bring the movie to the Capital.

Starring Jeff Daniels and Maggie Gyllenhaal, the movie is about a couple travelling across America looking for the perfect place to raise their baby.

The screening, and Q&A, is on Monday at 6:30pm.
