Memories made of this

ACTRESS Una McLean, right, was joined by staff nurse Linda Garvie as she placed a memory box with messages of remembrance and support in the foundations of the new St Columba’s Hospice.

The hospice, which opened in 1977, is being completely rebuilt on its existing site in Boswall Road, Granton, to provide modern facilities for patients.

The new building is due to open in spring 2014.
