Meeting to protest cuts

ANTI-CUTS campaigners will hold a public meeting in Leith tonight.

Scottish Socialist Party leader Colin Fox will be joined at the Leith Community Education Centre, Newkirkgate, by economist Raphie de Santos, student campaigner Phil McGuinness and Hannah Lister from the Save Blindcraft campaign.

Mr Fox will call for progressive taxation and a levy on banks to pay off government debts. He said: "The decision to cut 85 billion from public services to pay off this debt run up by banks is unjust."

The meeting is at 7.30pm.
