Medics treat blaze man

A MAN has been treated by medics after a blaze in a four-storey tenement building in the Capital.

Firefighters, police and ambulance crews rushed to the scene of the fire in a tenement block in Ramsay Place, Portobello, after receiving an emergency call at around 1pm yesterday.

Medics said one male aged 30 was checked at the scene for smoke inhalation but did not require hospital treatment.

Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus and hose reel said they extinguished a fire in the property’s living room shortly before 1:30pm.
