Marathon man gives up pies

A MAN who used to gorge on pies has turned his life around to lose three stone in time for the Chris Hoy Marathon.

John Fellows, 34, from the Capital, decided to ditch the pastry treats at the end of last year to get in shape for Sunday's race.

He said: "The first time I went running on a treadmill at the gym I lasted five minutes. Last weekend, I ran my last big training run of nine miles with relative ease and have now lost about three stone in weight since getting my act together for this."
