A man’s body has been pulled out of the water of Loch Lomond by a member of the public near the Lomond shores.

Loch Lomond Rescue Boat stated that they were paged with a report of a person in the water at 5.40pm on June 4.

When the rescue boat arrived, a member of the public had already pulled the body of a man out of the water, who tragically, had died.

Police Scotland were also called to the scene.

Loch Lomond Rescue Boat said: “All the thoughts of the crew and committee are with his family at this very sad time.”

A spokesperson from Police Scotland has said: “Around 5.30pm on Thursday, 4 June, 2020, the body of a 50-year-old man was discovered in the water near to Loch Lomond Shores, in Balloch, West Dumbartonshire.

“Following enquiries, his death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
