Man treated after blaze

A MAN was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a pan of food caught light at his home in Restalrig Road South yesterday evening.

The 50-year-old was taken to the ERI as a precaution after the incident, which took place at around 7.15pm.

Three fire appliances and a height appliance attended the fire, extinguishing the flames on arrival.
