Man trapped after car crash

AN INJURED man lay trapped and unconscious in a car for 45 minutes following a crash in Edinburgh last night.

Emergency crews received a 999 call just after 12:10am after reports a car had hit a fence on Greendykes Road.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the man, who was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with "multiple" injuries including a head wound.
