Man stabbed in his home

A MAN has been treated in hospital after being attacked with a knife in his own home. The victim's arm was injured in the assault in the Pollok area of Glasgow on Saturday night.

The 52-year-old found two strangers in his hallway. When he confronted them, one of them struck him with a knife.

Police said they think it is a case of mistaken identity.

The two men then left the house and the injured man alerted emergency services.

One of the suspects was wearing a black hat and jacket, police said.

Detective Constable Nick Gribben, at Pollok CID, said: "I'd like to speak to anyone who may have seen the suspects hanging around Drumcross Road prior to this incident taking place or anyone who may have seen them leaving the house afterwards."
