Man seriously hurt in balcony fall at gig

A 24-YEAR-OLD man was seriously injured after falling from a balcony during a pop concert in Dundee.

Tayside Police were called to Caird Hall where dance music group The Prodigy were playing a sold-out gig.

Ambulance and police attended at 10pm on Friday and the man, who is from Angus, was taken to Ninewells Hospital, where his condition was yesterday described as serious.

It is understood he fell about 15ft as the dance group were on stage.

A police spokesman said detectives were investigating whether the fall was an accident or if the man had been pushed.

The Prodigy are due to play at the O2 Academy in Glasgow today.
