Man in serious condition after Caithness cow crash

A MAN in his 20s has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries after a car crash involving a cow in the Highlands.

The driver of the vehicle is in a serious condition at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following the accident in Caithness on Monday evening.

The crash happened on the A836 road between Dounreay and Forss some time around 8pm.

A Police Scotland spokesman said the injured driver was initially taken to Caithness General before being transferred to ARI with multiple injuries, including to the head.

His condition is described as serious but stable.

The cow involved in the accident died.
