Man punched and knocked to ground in failed robbery

A MAN was punched in the face in an attempted robbery in Easter Road.

The 21-year-old victim was walking towards London Road and had just reached the Scotmid when he passed two men and a woman. One of the men demanded he hand over his wallet before a struggle ensued.

The victim was punched in the face and knocked to the ground but was able to get back to his feet and escape. Nothing was stolen during the incident at around 5.45am on Wednesday.

The first suspect is described as male, white, 30-40 years old, 5ft 8ins with a medium build, short blond spiky hair, blue eyes and a pointed nose. The woman was white, 25 years old, 5ft 6ins with a heavy build. The third suspect is male, white and extremely thin.
