Man knocked down

A MAN was taken to hospital after being knocked over outside a supermarket car park last night.

The man is believed to have been struck by a vehicle outside Iceland in Portobello Road around 5.35pm.

Paramedics treated him at the scene and transferred him to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

It is believed he only suffered minor injuries.
