Man killed in taxi crash is named

A man who died following a road collision in Edinburgh over the weekend has been identified as 22 year-old Stuart Gillies.

Mr Gillies, from Inverness, died at the Western General Hospital on Monday afternoon having been involved in a collision with a taxi on Old Dalkeith Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Lothian and Borders Police are continuing to investigate this incident and anyone who can assist with their enquiries has been asked to contact police immediately.
