Man injured in nightclub attack

A MAN was in a serious condition in hospital last night after an attack in a nightclub yesterday morning, police said.

The 23-year-old was assaulted in Sugar Cube nightclub in Queen Street, Glasgow, at about 3:15am.

He was taken to the city’s Royal Infirmary where his condition is described as serious. A 22-year-old woman suffered an arm injury in the incident.

Strathclyde Police said they have found no motive for the attack and are reviewing CCTV from the area.

Officers want to trace a suspect who is white, around 5ft 9in, well built with short brown hair. He was wearing a dark coloured jumper and headed towards Argyle Street after the attack.
