Man injured in city centre bottle attack

A YOUNG man suffered serious head and facial injuries after being assaulted with a bottle in Glasgow city centre.

The 20-year-old was walking from Sauchiehall Street into Cambridge Street, at 2:30am on Sunday, when he was shouted and then attacked by two men.

Detective Constable Murray Owen said: “This was a completely unprovoked attack on a young man who was simply walking through the city centre, minding his own business and who is now scarred for life.”
