A MAN has been arrested following an incident at an Highland hotel lasting more than seven hours.
Several police cars and two fire engines were sent to the Tarradale Hotel in Muir of Ord, Ross-shire, at around 2.15pm on Friday afternoon.
The vehicles surrounded the hotel while police dealt with a “disturbance” in the building which officers said “posed no risk to the public”.

A police spokesman said at around 10.30pm on Friday a 37-year-old man had been taken into custody.
He said: “Officers would like to thank the local community of Muir of Ord for their patience following a police incident earlier today.

“A 37-year-old man is now in custody in relation to the incident, which was contained.”
