Man in hospital after four vehicle crash on M8

A MAN has been treated in hospital following a four vehicle collision on the M8 outside Edinburgh.

Emergency service staff rushed to the scene of the crash close to junction three on the east-bound carriageway of the M8 after receiving a call at around 8.10am this morning.

Medics attended to one adult male who was later taken to St John’s Hospital in Livingston and treated for back injuries. His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

The scene of the crash was temporarily blocked off by police, causing tailbacks to Whitburn in West Lothian.
